Families can begin comparing colleges to find the right match for their students at the 2012 Wake County College Fair set for Sunday, Sept. 16 from 2 to 4:30 p.m.  at the McKimmon Center. The fair provides families a chance to talk with admissions officials from more than 100 colleges, many located in North Carolina. It’s open and free to all. Many high school juniors use the fair to develop the list of colleges they will visit as they begin their college search process. There are free sessions on financial aid and college planning.

The McKimmon Center is located on Gorman Street at the intersection with Western Boulevard. This popular event draws large crowds. Families should provide time for parking and visiting with top choices. WCPSS Counseling and Student Services, Carolina Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and NC State University sponsor the fair.
